first, i feel like it takes a while for the water to heat up. longer than the old kettle i have from years ago.secondly, after I use it and try to open the top so i can dry it out, you need to pull the top pretty hard for it to come off. When doing so, almost always I end up touching the part that's still hot. I wish the top would just open with a button or comes off easier so you don't need to pull it so hard.

I love this product. I bought this for pour over coffee & to have boiling water fast (Although there isn’t a huge volume of it) for other household things. I do use it almost every day since purchase - if not every day, and I am very happy with it for the value. If you don’t need the special shape for the pour over or tea, then get another temp-specific kettle as this one can sometimes spill held at the wrong angle. Great machine for quick pour overs!

Oh, let me count the ways I love this teapot. I admit I bought it because it looks so cool. But it also works exceptionally well. Fill it either below, or right up to the fill line. Set it on the base, plug it in, then press down on the lever at the bottom of the kettle. It shuts off automatically when it's done. I really wanted to love this because it looked cool. However, it's just not for me. You have to be careful of how you touch it because it's all metal and gets super hot. The spout, which I love the aesthetics of, makes pouring water super slow. It also wasn't very fast to heat up.

I really liked this kettle. A lot. I make coffee at home and use this kettle for making various types and methods of coffee. The kettle was used several times a day but never abused or over/under filled. About a week ago I noticed the kettle would no longer automatically shut off when the water reached a boil. I needed a gooseneck water boiler with auto-shutoff . this really works for me, and I like the detached base, too. The water gets nice and hot for tea.

This kettle is chic and heats up water VERY fast. My one reservation about this kettle is that it only holds enough water for about a cup and a half of tea/coffee. I wouldn't recommend this to people in multi-person households.

I bought this July 2021 and it suited my needs perfectly… for about a year. It started leaking small drops and progressively got worse until now there is water all over when I use it. For the price point, it may still be a deal? How often is one supposed to replace these? It got used multiple times a day. It’s bad enough that I’m not going to risk buying another to replace it… I’m going to try a different brand.

This kettle boils fast, has a definitive auto shut off - great for safety, the spout allows for precise pouring and there is something really fun about that. It is really handsome, makes a great gift and is well designed with it’s easily detachable base so you can pour at the table.

So I don't clean this thing often. Actually, I've never cleaned it and it still works fine (had it a few months). Also, I don't use my thermapen to ensure it's at the correct temp.I just trust it. The main benefit is that it gets up to temp pretty fast and it holds it there. My pour over still tastes AMAZING.

I really love this kettle. It’s exactly what I was looking for! Easy to use, minimal in design, efficient. The only thing is that these black dots are on the bottom of the kettle. I thought they might go away after a cleaning but they didn’t. Not sure what they are - I intuitively don’t feel comfortable drinking the water I boil in this kettle with these black dots. Ideally I could just return this and get a new one.

Due to decreased strength in arms and hands, I needed a smaller and less heavy electric water kettle. This holds .7 liters and has 1250 watts so it heats very quickly. Most that are over 1000 watts are for bigger/heavier kettles. I use it for pour over coffee and love the gooseneck design.
