Not working and there is no support team to help

Paid a lot of money for it. GPS tracker 200i and Dog caller they didn't connect and there is no live technical support to help with problem. They only have often asked questions from which none of them was helpful.

Pros
  • Item as described.
Cons
  • Expensive

I understand the necessity of the transmitter and receivers being large to allow such a powerful and long distance signal, however the collar was very very large, it would hang at his chest and smack his chest as he ran. This collar kit would be good for larger dogs, or I would recommend getting a harness style vest with pockets that the collar can be put into instead of around the neck.

Pros
  • The Garmin Alpha 200I and TT 15X Combo GPS Dog Tracking System with InReach Technology and Portable Charger is the ultimate hunting companion for hunters who need to keep track of multiple dogs at once, allowing for easy tracking of up to 20 dogs
Cons
  • The size and weight of the Garmin Alpha 200I and TT 15X Combo GPS Dog Tracking System with InReach technology and Portable Charger can make it cumbersome to carry around, particularly if you need to go on long walks or hikes

hunting dogs: my feedback

Good product. Have bought before and liked it then and I like it now. Nice bag comes with it and speed charger which is a plus.

Pros
  • i love this product but the touch screen is a little too sensitive.
Cons
  • Battery life is horrible

Great for what it is

I should have gotten the large Garmin with geofence capabilities. I tried saving a few bucks thinking that I'd be happy without it but given the chance, I would upgrade.Great product still and works fantastic for recalling my hunting beagle but a geofence would have gone a long way

Pros
  • I had the Alpha 100 and this unit is so much better and love to use this unit.
Cons
  • Limited Coverage

Poor maps, lots of extra fees

This device uses 'active' topo, which does not show many trails and roads that Alpha 100, Astro 220, & 320 topo 100k show. The work around suggested by Garmin is $99 go hunt chip that shows more detail. I hunt 5 states using 2 units. This would cost just under a grand to get maps my Alpha 100 and Onx already show me. Second issue: it introduces letters into the dog track/train codes. This keeps you from going from 200i to Alpha 100 using the tracking codes.Third issue: Garmin claims that you…

Pros
  • Very quick updates and very accurate. Has all the bells and whistles and more.
Cons
  • Technical Issues: Some users have reported technical issues with the system, such as poor reception or inaccurate location tracking, which can be frustrating and pose a risk when hunting
