like glitter. I'm not sure how best to use .

The pieces of solder are extremely tiny, like glitter. I'm not sure how best to use it (I am a beginner at jewelry soldering) but I am sure there is a use for it, probably when I have a lot more control over the process.

Pros
  • The chips are a bit smaller than used to but for the $$ they are a deal
Cons
  • The product is a little to tiny, I was expecting bigger chips.

They ain't huge Tiny Elvis!

If you need solder for anything other than small jump rings stay clear of these. They are the size of small glitter. Check your ruler. They are 1mmx.5mm.Nothing wrong with product. You just need to be aware of what you're getting. Eye strainers!

Pros
  • I really like how small the pieces are; it's perfect for my jewelry soldering needs.
Cons
  • Very expensive for the quantity provided

This product arrived intact promptly and appears to be as advertised. You may have to use more of it than just a tweezer full, depending on what you are soldering, etc., and I would buy from this seller again, although this is a very small quantity. If you are trying to fasten, as a braze, something of more than tiny jewelry size, you may wish to go to solder wire, like from SRA or the others.

Pros
  • OK
Cons
  • They will not melt for anything. I can melt all other kinds of soldier but these...nope.

Almost as small as grains of sand

I purchased for jewelry making and I found it impossible to work with. It actually looked like a 1" x 1" ziplock bag of sand- I didn't even recognize what it was when I received it. I found it useless and would much prefer larger chips that can actually be picked up with a tweezer. I do not recommend. I have to be honest, I've never worked with this stuff before- maybe it has it's place.

Pros
  • Great for jewelry making. Easier than cutting it up. VERY SMALL PIECES!!
Cons
  • Silver solder chips are not suitable for soldering electrical wires or components

Love them! on my review.

For many a year, I have been clipping these little pieces of silver solder only to buy them for much less than my time is worth. Love them!

Pros
  • General soldering and repairs, intermediate or final operations; cadmium and lead free
Cons
  • The quantity provided may not be cost-effective for larger projects

Does not flow! best in my review

No matter what would not follow. I picked them, used different types of flux, temperature, metals and it still would not flow. It would not even flow on a metal sheet, meaning it is definitely the solder. Very disappointed and it's sad because both the medium and hard and neither worked.

Pros
  • I can't cut them this small
Cons
  • The chips may not hold up well under high temperatures

Happy Jeweler good for me

My first time buying soldering chips. I didn't realize these things were so tiny. Lol. I almost need a magnifying glass to pick one up. However, it is an appropriate size for the occasion of soldering jump rings, etc.

Pros
  • About 1.5 mm surface area each piece.
Cons
  • The chips may not bond well with certain materials and surfaces
