My only concern is that one of the C-rings broke so easily from tears within the first week of use. Not to mention that some of the strobe functions don't work properly. The poi itself is a durable plastic that can withstand some sort of abuse (of course, there's a case to absorb a lot of such abuse). Each poi uses 1 AAA battery and works according to the lighting function that is turned on. I personally don't mind batteries, but I think it would be great if it also had a USB charging feature…

I like it. They are mostly well made. I play with them daily and for hours. Turns around a year with poi. My first set were poi pods and I liked them a little better. Being able to charge without worrying about batteries is good. Mine had one of the switches stop working last night and I'm not sure why or if it's something I might be able to fix.
