UV RO Sterilizer Purifier Review

I have had the product for almost a whole year used for a long time before I think about it and I'm NOT satisfied to say the least. First, the glass tube broke during installation. The seller quickly sent replacements and all was well for several months until I came back from Christmas break to find my kitchen soaked with water. Upon further inspection, I found a hairline crack around a poor quality weld on the end of the metal case that sprayed water 180 degrees to fill the reservoir.

The water in my office is full of iron, iron bacteria and manganese. I put in a reverse osmosis filter to purify the water and this UV sterilizer to kill any bacteria or virus. The device comes with a spare bulb and will sterilize more water than my filter. The included clips allowed me to mount it over existing filters and it works great. It's low power, although I've found the water in the filter gets a little warm when not in use, but I don't see that as a problem.

Bought this unit as the old UV lamp was hard to find and therefore two replacement bulbs from another supplier were offered at the same price as this complete set. I installed the unit in about 30 minutes and took my time, so it probably could have been a little quicker. Works perfectly. Unfortunately the bulb burned out after 6 weeks, possibly a bad bulb, let's hope the next one lasts the 'promised' 52 weeks. 52 weeks. Update from 02/20/21) well, the second light didn't even last a month so…

Item arrived on time and looked good in terms of packaging and build quality. The first bulb is charged, looks great. No obvious problems with warm water or weird taste. 35 days later the first lightbulb burned out. Replace with a second bulb - and nada - it doesn't work either. I'm not sure if the problem is with the lamp or the bulbs. The ballast light comes on but doesn't light up. Alright, let this teach you about buying "cheap from China".
