I have owned 3 knives over the years given to me by a friend. I never sharpened them, and it got to the point where I could barely cut a melon. I decided to buy this sharpener instead of buying new knives. I sharpened all three very easily, although I've never sharpened a knife in my life. I'm sure my knives needed to be sharpened extra badly, so I ran my knives through each slot about 8 times and immediately sliced through the juicy watermelon.

I had to change the rating. The product is ok and works great so far. You might find the same product for a little less if you keep looking. What I wanted to comment on is that I received a product card asking for a $5 gift card for a review. After that they came back with a reply (also Chinese characters in the email) saying please give them a 5 star rating. So don't think all 5 star reviews are what I'm trying to say. Good product but bad business principles.

This is a very easy and safe way to get even the oldest of blades very sharp. I had very old kitchen knives that badly needed sharpening. I was going to buy new ones but decided to try this sharpener first. The price was great and I brought back some very old blades from the dead. It's very easy (and safe) to hold, and the slot numbering system (1,2,3) eliminates the possibility of incorrect grinding order. Be sure to buy, cheap Christmas stocking!

I have had several sharpeners of this type. name brands. Some people don't care about them; They're no harder on your blade than any other type, however, as long as you have a light touch and let the tool do its job. I ordered this Prime but Revain made a mistake so it was a day late. However, as soon as it arrived, I unwrapped the box and tried it on two of my most-used favorite knives.
