Great splitter at a great price

Great splitter for extended HDTV bandwidth. Problem: On my cable TV, some channels and video-on-demand had very bad splits. Solution: This splitter. By replacing my old cable TV splitter with this splitter, we've significantly improved the signal strength of the TV - better picture quality across the channel range and video-on-demand doesn't get stuck. Costs money.

Pros
  • Nice
Cons
  • Legacy model

Great for a home with a few TVs and.

Great for a home with a few TVs and a high speed modem. I replaced the balanced splitter provided by Cox with this unbalanced splitter to send more signal to our cable modem. Use the -3.5dB port on your modem and it picks up half the signal from your single incoming line to your home or office. TVs tend to use less signal than a cable modem, so it's best to use an unbalanced splitter.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Unreliable

it worked perfectly. I also bought end caps.

Need a way to reduce the signal a bit so the modem doesn't see range, this worked great. I also bought end caps to cover other splitters I didn't use, but other than that it's been working fine ever since. The previous splitter was just two ways at 3.5dB each, left my signal just above ideal. This keeps it at around 5 dB for all channels.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • New competitors are here
