Will not work with portable audio and video

I used to have 2 radios of this type and they both worked great. When I decided to buy another CB, I went with this one. I set it up and drove 100 miles on the interstate and never heard anyone on multiple channels. Very disappointed. Also, I wasted two days trying to get a UPS pickup and can't find a number or contact point to get the shipping label emailed.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Looks very good, PA is nice and loud.

The quality of the goods is very good. Incredibly easy to install on my center console. I drive a 2011 Crown Vic PI with a custom Jeep center console and it looks great. I haven't checked the functionality yet, I need a new antenna to not mess anything up. The car kit connects to a Pyle speaker on my roof rack. According to my colleagues it is noisy. Very loud.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Large and bulky

Bought this radio to replace my old radio on the boat. The old Uniden radio just turned 17 so I've put it to good use, especially in salt water conditions. The radio is under the dash so it doesn't get wet, but the wind blows the salty air everywhere. Checked last week, works fine. A very good buy.

OK, but not perfect.

I have the same model, decades old, made in the Philippines. The old block has been repaired many times, so I bought a new block. Comparison: Receive: Alt 8-New 6 Transmit: Alt 9+ New 8-- Both are SWR matched and use the same Wilson antennas. I will service the old device again and this will be used as a backup. I think my Cobra 29BT could do better overall too. They are used in dump trucks that are exposed to dust and strong vibrations. Most radios last 24 to 28 months before needing to be…

Didn't work once in 800 trips to Texas and back

Ordered 2 months ago Trip to Texas. Looked good when it arrived. I ordered the recommended magnetic antenna. Installation seemed easy and the built in SWR meter came in handy. Unfortunately, he didn't receive a single message during his 4-day drive on Interstate 35. It is not known whether the transmissions worked. I would have returned but unfortunately I didn't have the box or directions on the trip and returned home past the return date. I have had several CBs over the years so I am familiar

Good but big: CB radios & scanners

Good radio for the price It's big and wouldn't recommend fitting in a normal car. But works great in a full size truck or maybe a van with lots of under dash or overhead space. It is difficult to say anything about the quality of the radio, since a lot depends on the quality of the antenna and the settings. But it seems to be working fine. If given a chance to do this again, I would opt for a smaller radio that scans all channels rather than locking one channel at a time. This was different 10…

The Jury's Still Best in CB & Two Way Radios

Installed this walkie talkie on my SUV. I read a lot of reviews and watched a lot of videos and this turned out to be a good option. I installed the block. I bought and installed an expensive "tunable" antenna. I've adjusted the setup per the expert's instructions, but I'm still only getting reception for about 1/4 mile in open terrain and only 50-60 yards in woods. I'm not exactly sure what the problem is. Over the weekend I was dating a guy who had a cheap device with an expensive microphone…

Jury still not the best among CB and radio sets
