Perfect replacement for my previous remote control which started breaking after a year and a half. However! For some reason, the batteries for it didn't fit in the back part. I used the back of an old remote control and it fit perfectly. As a warning to anyone replacing their remote control. Not sure why this was an issue

I loved that it looked like the remote control that came with the TV so I could easily find the buttons without having to relearn it. The original switched channels with the volume control or seemed to require a lot of effort. I'm wondering if this will solve my problem - can the TV's sensor fail? I bought a Philips 5604 Android TV in October 2020. After 3 months, the TV turned into garbage. It seemed sooooo slow, wouldn't turn on and off, it got stuck. I was so angry.
