Barely good enough for my opinion

Well. The mid-size expander's threads were destroyed the first time I used it. The large expander still works but I lubricate the crap out of it every time I use it. It does okay for the price. But it's still rather disappointing. The nut used on them is probably too small and it ruins the threads if too much force is applied. Then again, you need a lot of force to expand a piece of pipe. Overall, it worked for my one project. But I don't see them lasting much longer. I'll buy a better set if I

CHeap tool dont expect many uses out of it

used the smallest size and it barely expanded the 11ga aluminum tubing I was working on before the threads galled on the shaft. I don't expect the bigger sizes to be much better. will keep for fixing out of round or dinged stuff but that's it.

  • make sure you use high pressure grease on it. I used an impact wrench. It held up.

  • Broke first time using it. The pipe was a little thick though.

Great tool best in my review

It worked really nice on opening hoses that I needed for my pond couldn't do it without it great little tool do not buy this, it wasn''t even good enough to push out clamp dents.!

Not good don't buy.💯

I am a mechanic and I know how to NOT strip threads. This is a REAL WASTE OF MONEY PERIOD. do NOT buy this. Broke on mr first use.Metal is brittle.!

broke on first use for my opinion

I know you get what you pay for, but all I needed to do was 2 pipes, summit brand pipes by the way, the tool shattered before even getting close to expanding the pipe to what was needed, it's a decent looking tool and it comes with spare o rings, but it will probably only work for you if you have a very thin wall pipe.

Hercules could have done it

Used the largest in an attempt to expand a 2-3/8" galvanized fence post. Wanted just enough expansion so that it could slide over another 2-3/8" post for 2-3 inches. The tube did flare slightly but no where near what I needed. I am unsure of the end result had I been Hercules and continued to either successfully flare the tube or break the tool in the attempt. I used a 3 ft. beaker bar to turn while a vise held the post. On the positive, it is a nice case with pretty (useless) tools…
