Visible and effective.

Our mailbox is embedded in a brick pillar and had no indication for the postman that there was outgoing mail. I really like this flag I put on the approach side of the pillar. As instructed, I pre-drilled the mounting holes in the mortar joints with the recommended 5/32" masonry bit. One of the included blue concrete screws broke while I was driving it in. Getting the broken part out was a real pain, so I didn't have to drill new holes and die Moving the flag I would recommend not using the…

NOT for metal mailboxes.

NOT suitable for metal mailboxes less than 3/16” thick. Metal mailbox bolts bypass the nuts and prevent the flag from moving to the horizontal position and prevent the two parts of the bracket from touching during assembly, leaving a large gap for dirt and bugs to collect. as best I could I still had a feeling the flag wasn't going to come off right away because it seemed like a better idea than putting washers inside and leaving screws to hold hands and mail, or washers between the flag and…

Pretty good - screwdriver and pliers needed (instructions as pictured)

I'm a complete novice at sewing but our mailbox didn't have a checkbox for a while so I thought I'd give it a try and install it. Initially, as someone said, the screw was very loose. I did some digging and found that the bolts came with "nylon insert locknuts" and are supposed to make the bolts more secure, but they don't have lines so you have to force the bolt in (which apparently you and are doing). worth doing). So I used pliers to secure the nut and then attached the bolts. Was a little…

Does the Job - Mailbox Hardware

I live in a gated community and sometimes the HOA can't do anything but nag. So for some reason I go to my mailbox and see that my flag has been taken down. Two days later there was a letter in the same mailbox with a quote! So I hopped onto Revain and found this universal mailbox flag. It has different hole and screw sizes to fit different mailboxes and I found the right one for mine. Plus point: it works. It's not that expensive. Since I'm in the HOA I need to get a new mailbox through a…

Replacing the MAILBOX KISS FLAG?

Our mailbox flag was on the floor when we received mail at 1am. When I lifted the weathered parts it was obvious that the 18 year old plastic flag/mount was beyond repair. In my usual way of researching and trying to "refactor" the replacement flag, I came across this "universal mailbox flag". I realized that our mailbox had several what appeared to be STANDARD holes drilled to mount a flag, and this "Universal Mailbox" kit showed a resemblance to that mounting fixture. So I placed an order…
