Carbide Bits

These Carbide Bits were used to repair bathroom floor tiles. They worked very well. We highly recommend them again. Good value for money. Even after prolonged use, they cut normally.

Pros
  • Elegant Design
Cons
  • Nothing

Ideal for replacing ceramic tiles

I used a circular cutter to remove the grout and it worked great. Then we break the tile with a mount and a hammer. Then a triangular milling cutter with a carbide-coated underside took care of the glue residue. Fantastic and fast results. Both cutters are still usable.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Out of style

Very good cutting quality!

The thickness is within the grout line. Even with a very good all-purpose tool, removing grout is not easy. I tried the diamond tool and was disappointed. They hold up very well, but remember work isn't a picnic! These cutters hold the best I've ever tried except for a sledgehammer!

Pros
  • Permanent coating
Cons
  • Defective

They work well with power and hand tools

Have started using them for grout removal. They remove joints. I thought about it and switched to my brand and found that it removes grout much more effectively. So yes they work but you get what you pay for. When you consider that this 4-pack costs less than a brand name blade, it does indeed. Big. I wouldn't pick her for a big job, you will lose the value of the extra time put in.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Not automatic

Highly reliable Hemunc grout remover

The carbide half-round tool was the one I used most often to remove grout from a tiled floor. This tool worked great removing grout to the right depth and held the carbide cutting edge much longer than I expected. I bought another brand from the hardware store and the Hemunc brand easily outperformed them by a factor of 20! Excellent purchase!

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Hard to say

Works great in a Fein Multimaster

I ordered this set primarily for the small spear blades as I couldn't find any others that would fit in the small space I had to work on under the door jamb. They fit my Fein Multimaster and have exceeded my expectations. They are much more aggressive and slightly thicker than fine OEM blades. They worked surprisingly well on my 1/4" seams. I think they might be too thick for very small seams, but they're perfect for my purpose.

  • Sturdy construction

Good enough for a refill project

I bought this kit to use for a refill project. They were used to remove grout with an oscillating tool (Rockwell) and worked flawlessly. I was able to remove approximately 37 linear feet of grout in a matter of minutes. What a joy. There was enough material left on this knife set to reuse for another injection project. I would recommend this product as a cheaper alternative than what you would pay for other brands of blades.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Appearance

You will surrender before the Blades surrender!

These blades have exceeded my expectations as I remove a thin layer of Duraroc grout in small sections. In my opinion I use these outside of their design and I still use the first one and it still cuts just as well as it did straight out of the box. I use an oscillating saw because my 7" diamond cup creates a dust storm even with an industrial vacuum/dust collector attached, luckily I only have small areas to sand. I wish there was a larger version of this saw/blade, it's slow and dust free.

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Obsolete
