Installed on the tile on the advice of others. It was very easy and looks great. I can use some white caulk around the edges and touch it up with white Armstrong paint but overall I'm very happy with it. I love not only being able to center it like I did, but using the knockout holes provided to adjust it forward or back 4" or 7" (depending on orientation) if needed. The cable bracket provides some stabilization and comfort knowing the projector will never hit the floor.

This is a great mount, strong, easy to use and allows for a variety of mounting configurations. I highly recommend the mount. However, you're missing out on a much cleaner and more professional installation if you don't take a few extra minutes to use your existing ceiling tiles in your final installation. Why don't other kits needed for assembly have such easy markings? The product serves its purpose and description, but what struck me the most was how they labeled and packaged almost every little gadget you might need separately so you don't have to fumble or search through a huge pile of random parts guess what the instructions say "FROM". One word, fantastic! Arrived 1 day earlier than expected. Don't waste time with other false ceiling mounts. I did and sent them all back. I'm glad I spent the money and ordered this one. We were very impressed with the robustness of this option. This is a fairly heavy piece of equipment, so a second pair of hands will come in handy, especially when you're high up. Unfortunately the on site installers were unable to install this item in our false ceiling. It is heavier than intended and when mounting the projector it would lower the entire false ceiling.
