This is complete nonsense. The small pin inside that is supposed to hold the flag upright has a component that leaves about a millimeter of space to put the pin in the hole. The outer lid also has notches of about 1mm which should fit the lid into the part you are gluing to the mailbox. Guess what? With the slightest movement of the flag, the outer shell is completely torn off. Okay, I think I'll just remove that component that limits how much of the pen this outer cover and flag holds. nope…

When the flag on my ancient sidewalk mailbox broke, I was glad to find this simple replacement. I'm ashamed to say I pocketed it wrong so it was sticking out into the street when the flag was taken down. I ended up ripping it off to turn it off - and it took me so much effort! At first I thought the quality is good, the flag is metal etc. However, I bought it specifically not to poke a hole in the mailbox boundary. It stuck to the bricks until the first rain, and then I found it floating in the sewers along the road. The glue will probably not withstand any weather and is therefore unusable.
