Do not buy! Stopped working after a month and 12 days.

Changed to a star. Do not buy. Month and 12 days worked perfectly. Had to take it off the ceiling fan because it stopped working. I couldn't turn on the fan or lights with the remote or Alexa. Of course, it stops working 12 days after the return window. Works perfectly! Easily connected to Alexa. Ease of installation. No problems at all! I love it when Alexa can tell you to change the ceiling fan speed or turn off the lights!

It took a long time for the smart home app and Alexa to work properly.

Installation in the fan was easy. When it came time to pair with the smart home app, it took several attempts to pair successfully. It was possible to use AP mode. Then it took even more effort to get Alexa to use all the features. Initially, Alexa couldn't control the fan speed, but has since adjusted. Works but pairing instructions not very good

Update: Stops working after 3.5 months. The remote control beeps but the fan does nothing. I'm getting a replacement but we'll see how long the new one lasts.————Love the small form factor and easy installation. The device looks simple, and the labeled wires proved useful. The instructions said you had to pair within 3 minutes of turning the device on, so it was a rush as I didn't have the app installed. I've tried turning the device on/off, but it won't pair. Both units are out of service. CAUTION

I bought two of these and installed them on December 31st 2020, one of them is already out of service as of yesterday January 5th. Returns and exchanges were easy and should be here tomorrow the 7th. Installation was easy and I connected it to Alexa with no problems. This thing is a bit pricey for what it does and if it only lasts a week it's not worth it.
