This item is NON-RETURNABLE.

DO NOT buy this unless you are sure you will keep it! This item is NON-RETURNABLE. I bought two HUD units to compare and now I'm stuck with a $40 item that I don't need or want. I want to make it clearer that my decision is final; I would never order. But the return policy was deceptive. Very disappointed.

Works Perfectly - Automotive & Vehicle Electronics

I don't use a solar device so I can't comment on that. I have a cigarette lighter adapter and the device starts up as soon as I start the car. I need this because my steering wheel is preventing me from seeing the normal speedometer in the 60-80 mph range. This block is where I can see it on my steering column so it's easy to see. It just sits and goes nowhere. Easy to install, no instructions needed, I figured it out myself. Solve my problem at an affordable price.

Serious problem, MPH setting always returns to km/h after USB charging

Get 2 stars (now) because MPH setting always returns to km/h after USB charging h returns. In winter, take the charger with you with a few days delay. But resetting the MPH setting every time after a USB charge would be totally unacceptable. I like this device, simple and accurate, and less light reflection on the windshield when driving at night. I hope it's just a bad device so I decided to give it a try to request a replacement. I will update the conclusion shortly after the replacement…

Decent little unit: Auto Video

Great little unit for the price. Solar charging seems useless (even if it's installed on a car's dashboard in the middle of summer), so I left it plugged in while using it. What's really annoying is that the unit switches from MPH to KPH every time it sees a 12v charge signal so you have to reset it every time (I bought this for an imported car that I put in the USA since the speedometer is only in KPH ) start the car (if your cigarette lighter turns off when the car turns off). Beautiful unit! - Auto & Vehicle Electronics

I've been using HUD for three days now. Find it very nice - depending on the price. First, I love the top-up feature - works like a charm. It is very compact and ideal for any type of vehicle. The first day I struggled to keep it in miles per hour versus kilometers. It stays with the US version now. Another observation was that the time is displayed as 24 instead of 12 - I'm not sure why this wasn't programmed for the user. Aside from those two small "problems", I would also suggest using a…

Generally works well if not in a brightly lit environment.

I like the overall design of the unit. Its speedometer function seems to be accurate enough. temperature too. The height is not great. Never gets the same value twice in a row while stationary. The biggest problem is the display. In bright sunlight, the screen dims due to low brightness. I plan to make a small visor to protect the display. Hope this solves the problem. Making the display brighter should be easy enough. I suspect they lowered the brightness to save battery life. I would also…
