Update International AS 58 Aluminum Scoop Review

I bought this to use as a scoop for Quikrete. I used it to scoop up the dry mix and scoop up the mix that was wet and ready to apply. It worked well for both. A sturdy shovel that I would recommend for most purposes.

Used to scoop lumps of coal from a bag onto the grill. It has been working fine for a short time since I received it, but I'm wondering if attaching the handle to the shovel is strong enough as the charcoal needs to be rotated and moved to load. For something like dog food or beans, I don't think that would be a problem.

These scoops are used to fill commercially available clear ziplock bags that hold 1lb of candy. Filling these 1lb bags with different kinds of candies can now be easily achieved by using this wonderful spoon only once to fill 1lb candy bags, greatly improving productivity. We used to have to use the smaller scoop multiple times to fill a 1 pound bag of candy.

I bought an 85 oz aluminum scoop for my ice machine but it was too big. I then bought a 58 ounce scoop that was the perfect size for scooping ice out of the car. I can't imagine using an 85 ounce scoop for big animal feed maybe? The photos show the dimensions of both blades. Be sure to order the correct size as the seller will not cover return shipping costs!

I am very satisfied with this review. The only problem I had was that the plastic it was wrapped in got stuck in one place and was difficult to unclip. Otherwise great size. I bought this for a church ice cream machine to replace the plastic that disappeared after the band used our kitchen for pancakes. I wanted to tie it to the car but there is no hole in the handle and no way to attach it to the car. We keep our fingers crossed.

This shovel has been used once. I just threw it in the trash. Warning, this is NOT dishwasher safe. I put it in the dishwasher (the Cove dishwasher runs Cascade) and when I took it out there was a black powder on it that got on your hands. I wonder if this is even food safe. At least it can't be washed in the dishwasher. I bought a few of these and won't even scoop my dog food with them. Not suitable for washing in the dishwasher.

I am disappointed that my scoop came in Revain packaging which was torn before delivery and that it already had scuffs that they don't like made look new. Even more disappointing is that the back of my shovel has a giant sticker that doesn't peel off easily. I don't have the 20 minutes of energy it takes to slowly scrape the sticky residue off the back of a scoop. Please send me a duplicate product without a sticker.
