    Good quality - mounts

    I have tried many car phone mounts. this is the best. I have a back on my phone that holds credit cards making it quite thick and holding it well. It's difficult to get the phone into the cradle, but when it's on it practically stays there, even in the face of big bumps.

    Cannot handle a phone in a case

    The handles are not big enough. They don't even hold the phone in a medium-thick case. If you have something similar to the Otterbox Defender Series, keep shopping. The holder does not hold. Otherwise, it appears to be a very nice, well-made holder. If you're stupid enough not to put your phone in a protective case, this case is perfect.

    Loss of Adhesion on Day One 80°

    Product comes with a 3M adhesive pad to provide a flat surface for the suction cup. I used this as my dash is very lightly textured. It worked well until the first day 80°. Both the large 3M adhesive disk for the suction cup and the smaller stabilizing clip came loose on the same day. This may or may not work well on a windshield. Definitely not recommended for dashboard mounting

    Makes driving safer without blocking the view through the windshield.

    The long arm of this holder allowed me to attach a suction cup to the lower left corner of the windshield and mount the phone directly in line with the driver's side A-pillar. This provides a clear view of the phone (I mainly use it for navigation) without blocking my view through the windshield. This is exactly what I was looking for. The car it is installed on is a Chevrolet Silverado.

    I liked that it held firmly, but when it came time to carry it from car to car the adhesive wouldn't come off the window. It's not suction. I had to take my knife and practically cut him out the window. I applied for my wife's car for our holiday trip and when I came back I had to do the same.
