This can't be true. I almost called the record store and accused them of selling me defective records! Until I bought a new turntable, my records played flawlessly. This Mattel toy will skip your notes and probably scratch them. The sound quality is terrible. Sounds like a quiet old radio

I bought this product to connect my speakers to it and use Wi-Fi. The built-in speakers are very quiet and connecting to external speakers has the same volume even when both the speakers and the built-in speakers are running at full blast. Although the player works. I just have to be in the same room as the player without doing anything else.

I don't have much to say about this as I haven't personally compared it to other portable turntables, but I'd say it's better than 'OK' but not amazing. It's good, not great. The sound is definitely not exceptional, and the dials and buttons are pretty cheap. We haven't tried the digital components yet, but only bought them as a simple and compact turntable. The body feels solid and well made.
