Works great, installed in 1 hour

Works great, installed in 1 hour. Just in case, I replaced the "TEMP" sensor below. Easy installation, just take the time to remove the "OLD" reservoir and you're done! Summer is with us! .It is recommended to check all coolant components every summer. This expansion tank works great and has been in my car for about 6 months now.

Pros
  • A sea of positive emotions
Cons
  • Older model

Have a supply ready.

This piece fits well and did not fit like others have in the past. I don't know if this part should ever get 5 stars from any manufacturer as it looks like a weak point in the cooling system (mine is 4th in 9 years). They always break vertically at one of the corners so it would be wise to have an extra one on hand, especially if you are a few years old.

Thin plastic where it shouldn't be.

The dual line receivers on top of the tank had noticeably thinner walls than the one I replaced. The smaller of the lines broke/snapped and the line came loose from the receiver end of the tank. I had the item a few weeks before installing it, but it broke down in less than 2 hours of driving. When reconnected, it began to emit steam and the coolant system was unable to pressurize. I sent a request for a return/refund - we are looking for other brands.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Expensive

This isn't working properly. He is defective. Cooling sensor always on

Replaced the expansion tank on my car in August but a month later the cooling light came on. I replaced the old sensor with a new URO brand one, but the problem was not solved. I reinstalled the old reservoir and it worked fine with both sensors, so the conclusion is that the reservoir is defective from the URO and cannot be refunded. Very disappointed, will never order from URO again.

e46 coolant leak, could it be.

When I bought the car, the previous owner replaced this part. It was an unnamed detail, and I soon noticed a coolant leak on the sidewalk. I knew from the remains that it came from somewhere in that part, but I've never been able to pinpoint the exact location. It got worse over time and I figured it couldn't just be the expansion tank. nope I replaced it and my leak is gone. It's also a very good idea if you haven't already done so to replace all parts of the cooling system (thermostatโ€ฆ

Good quality. Be careful with the automatic thermostat.

- 2001 BMW 330CI Automatic - Good quality for the price. Looks better than the original but time will tell. Supplied with bottom lock/clip connector but no coolant level sensor. CAUTION: On automatic transmissions, the transmission thermostat is likely to come loose at the top due to the force required to break the o-ring when separating the tank from the bracket. The thermostat is pressurized and installed in the largest hole in the bracket over which the large hole in the bottom of theโ€ฆ

Works exactly like OEM

It has been approximately 60 days since I replaced this part on my Bimmer and I have no complaints. That works fine. no breaks, no cracks or leaks. The price of this item on Amazon compared to the OEM retail price is a big difference. However, I can only agree that the structure/integrity of the tank will be the same compared to the originals, but there is always a slight difference. I think in two years I will have a better opinion of this product (see how long it lasts). At the same time itโ€ฆ
