I have an iMac G5 at home with 10.4.11 and a bad network adapter. I downloaded the drivers from startech.com, ran the installer package, rebooted my computer, plugged it in and everything worked great. I think they solved the problem the previous reviewer had. By the way, never install the drivers that come with such a product. You can usually find newer models on the manufacturer's website.

The adapter does not work with my MacBook with OS X version 10.4.10 due to driver incompatibility. StarTech Technical Support advises that a "kernel change" starting with OS X version 10.4.8 is likely causing the incompatibility, and they have been working on a fix since July 24, 2007. I had an old TiBook with a bad ethernet port on the board. I was able to reestablish a wired connection with this adapter.
