It took me a while to start using this product as my podcast was on hold for a while, but it's a handy mic for production staff video and audio with just your phone or laptop. You don't really need any fancy additional hardware to make this work, other than maybe the right cable or adapter to connect to your chosen hardware. I was able to assemble it and get it working without any help. Convenient and easy to learn, this is a good tool for non-technical people like me.
