is an update. I don't really find this particular curler to help me. I'm usually very good with curling irons. I have a lot of body, my hair will be frizzy but it won't hold your hair really well, it will slip out too easily.

I am not satisfied with this device. It doesn't work like the simpler, more expensive model, the plastic housing the thumb gets EXTREMELY hot, and the plastic teeth lining the plates get caught in my hair with every pass. I can't figure out how to work with this device! And it's not due to a lack of skill, because T*me 2-in-1 was very easy to understand and use. So I bought it for $8 because I was curious how it would perform at such a low price. Well I'm pleasantly impressed and happy with the results. Works exactly as expected and at a fraction of the price of the closest competitor. It was hot enough to burn me in less than ten seconds and reached its maximum temperature in about 30 seconds, which was impressive.
