Works as it should on coils

used to replace a coil on a Kawasaki FC401V (connector that is grounded to stop the engine did not work on the old unit) This unit was easy to replace, the spark plug cable is long enough and the ground terminal works as expected

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Interchangeable

Bought for my Kabota lawn tractor with Kawasaki engine.

Bought for my Kabota Kawasaki powered lawn tractor. The original coil cut out as the engine warmed up. The coil has a built-in control circuit. The replacement looked four times cheaper and worked four times cheaper than the original Kawasaki part.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Empty

Mounted upside down so it works

I don't know why but I had to turn it upside down to get a good spark. I saw a youtube video where a guy had the same problem with an aftermarket coil so I gave it a try. Works well. I had to extend the cut wire and cut the case to get the connector wire. Still much cheaper than factory.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Wrong part. Best in Coils

This part looks good until you bolt it on and I fit just like the old one. It changes the timing of the engine. Now I only get flames from the exhaust. I would recommend that you save some time and just buy the correct OEM part or replacement part from a reputable place.

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons
  • Very Expensive

Worked on my John Deere SRX75

I installed this on my John Deere SRX75 to replace a failed ignition coil. The only caveat is that this coil is polarity sensitive and installs with the spark plug wire and trip wire connector in the opposite direction than the OEM. The spark plug wire was long enough to reach the spark plug, but I had to lengthen the kill wire a bit as it didn't reach the connector. This is not a complaint about the product as it works great.

Pros
  • hands free
Cons
  • Hard to tell
