Just for home use.

Excellent! Old school analog mic for occasional use but nice to have a tool. In my case to measure bike parts for repair. For me it doesn't have to be super accurate. Seems close ok The caliper is delivered protected in a sturdy clamshell case.

phew Functionally I think.

Item arrived damaged and appeared rough. Ordered a replacement and it was rough, damaged but functional. It looks like it went from the factory and then straight into the box. The back looks like raw material. One of the guns has a rough area that looks like an error in the tool path. A blind knurled screw is welded on for fine adjustment. Came in a greasy zipper but the panties are horribly stiff. The numbers aren't the easiest to read either. Invest in the best caliper.

Incredibly difficult find! No dial, no digital display, steel. Ideal!

WITHOUT digital display and WITHOUT dial, because they light up quickly when taking measurements, a tape measure or ruler will never make it. . Also if you throw them off the roof or they fly from the car onto the concrete/asphalt. You don't want to endanger a real precision instrument! Sometimes (for me, a DIYer, that is 98% of the time) +/- 1/32 or 1/64 inch is PERFECT enough. Good luck finding these tolerances with a ruler or tape measure on round objects in difficult and poorly lit areas…
