I love the clear cap

I love the clear plastic part. I think it will come in handy. It only has two studs, just like the original part that failed after one season. I'm not sure if it will last more than one season but we'll see. The clear plastic material (maybe Lexan) is tougher and lasts longer.

. A duct port cover made of clear material is a good idea as you can see if there is one.

This clear material Valterra stopper is a great idea as you can see if waste water has collected in the pipe before the stopper is removed. In my opinion this is an excellent product that looks like a quality component and pairs perfectly with the matching drain valve fitting.

If the valve is leaking I can tell before I take the cap off.

We are looking for a remote campsite with no sewerage. The nearest sewer is 15 km away. I don't want to hitch the RV to dump the trash, so with the macerator pump we're going to use the blue plastic barrels on the bed of the pickup truck for transport. With fittings and a Valterra Blade valve, I wanted the clear lid to hold surprises at the landfill. The transparent lid will let me know. This method allows me to use my current sewer hoses.
