Kato quality! The best!

This liquid is ideal as an adhesive, transfer aid and with fine tone color pigments. Because the finish doesn't look too shiny, you can add all kinds of shines to finished projects.

Pros
  • Positive only
Cons
  • Waiting too long

Van Aken is legal! about ceramics and ceramics

Never be cheap again! Goes on for a long time and doesn't make my hands gross when I apply it with my finger! Clearly baked and takes color very well! I used soft pastels for the color and they were very vibrant, just like the color I added! Oh super excited I bought this!

Pros
  • There's something in there
Cons
  • Everything is in order

Very, very cool sound!

Aside from the really weird smell that other brands of clay don't have, this is amazing! You need to bake it at at least 300 degrees Fahrenheit so it comes out translucent, deeper than 1/16 inch at once per layer, it stays translucent but not translucent. Beware of over-cooking your projects as this will turn yellow or amber when over-cooked, so it's BETTER to use as the very last layer :D

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • No paint required

Great value for polymer clay icing, sauces and icing

This is amazing! I work almost exclusively with kato clay, making amulets for sale, and this liquid clay is baked almost completely transparent. There's still some milkiness, but much crispier than TLS. KPL is also ideal for sauces or glazes that should be glossy. TLS is fine if I want a matte cookie finish, but for a gloss? KPL has not disappointed me yet. Absolutely wonderful. I only wish TLS was in the same bottle size!

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Something wrong

Difficult to spread easily and evenly across the image

Obviously this product takes some getting used to. I bought it specifically to either transfer images to polymer clay or fill them in because. it is quite thick, it is difficult to spread it easily and evenly over the picture. Although I tried hardening it according to the instructions, it bubbled very badly and actually burned the surface of the second test piece I tried. I'll probably end up using it exclusively for polymer binders.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Unreliable

Clear like glass!

This is by far the clearest liquid clay I've used, with the exception of fimo deco gel which is very expensive to buy online (I mean $17 for 1.6 oz is damn expensive). gave this product 4/5 because the consistency is really runny and the cap allows the liquid clay to flow out too quickly making it difficult to apply and often spills. I fixed this by swapping out the Kato cap for a Sculpey Liquid Clay cap and it was perfect - accurate application and no more streaks for either when applied…

Pros
  • Pretty impressive
Cons
  • boring packaging

This is my new favorite to include in almost any of my projects.

I am mainly engaged in photography, sculpture, jewelry. I do studio art so I use this in a variety of mediums and it has been successful in almost everything I've done. I baked the ink pictures, sewed them together, used them as glue for a few things (oven safe of course). I've impressed at least two professors. lol, I recommend trying this stuff out even if you're just curious. Poly clay or Fimo are very changeable, even in the store, if you choose them yourself, they can crumble and crap…

Pros
  • Probationary period for one year
Cons
  • Available in white color only
