fatal error. for accessories and consumables

Revain recommended I buy this along with the Sony ICD-PX 370 Digital Voice Recorder as the connector on each of my phones (rectangular) so I couldn't use them all. For me it's a waste of money.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Cables shorter than others

Telephone cables are low

The device works, but the recording volume is very, very low. As others have pointed out, for a stereo tape deck, this unit only records on one channel. I can live with that, but the recorder I have, the Sony IC-PX470 (works perfectly), records the phone at a very, very low level. Instead of this device, I recommend the Olympus TP-8 handset. It's not that comfortable, but the Olympus does a great job.

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • Be too stupid

Easy to use and set up

Was surprised at how small it is (1.5" x 1" x 1") but it does the job. It takes 20 seconds to set up which is good .The 3.5mm jack connects easily to a digital voice recorder or computer. In my opinion the cord could be a few inches longer but it also helps you not to be walking around with your phone when you are sitting it still comes with double sided tape to help keep things in place.Did a few tests and it works great,it picks up beeps, keystrokes and voice.Basically it's understandable ifโ€ฆ

VEC TRX-20 3.5MM Direct Connect didn't work

Didn't work. I already have 2 telephone recording connections of this type. They are a different brand (old RS) and work very well. I figured since they were very old I should invest in a backup. This (VEC TRX-20 2.5mm direct plug phone) did not work right out of the box. I tried using it on different wired phones and connected it according to the instructions. It is intended to be placed between the headset and the base of the corded phone. I reconnected the old "RS" brands and they stillโ€ฆ

Works well - Accessories and consumables

The device works well. For years I used an old Radio Shack machine to connect a digital voice recorder to my phone to record interviews for articles, but it eventually stopped working after the cord got stuck in a desk drawer. After missing a few unrecorded interviews and having to reconstruct from my notes, I finally found a replacement and I'm glad I bought it. It seems to be doing its job well and so far all the recordings I've tried have worked. The sound quality is decent and maybe evenโ€ฆ

Great tool for a reporter

I am a reporter for a small town newspaper. Paper doesn't provide us with a lot of equipment - we work in a print shop so our margins are pretty low - so I don't get a lot of "toys". When I was hired and I wanted to record a phone interview, I had to either type as quickly as possible and hope my notes were good, or conduct the interview using the speakerphone in the conference room. Aside from the poor acoustics, it wasn't very private. Until recently, I didn't even know that something likeโ€ฆ

  • small things

This device was specially developed to connect a landline telephone to a digital voice recorder. You connect it to your telephone and to the IC recorder's microphone jack. This is my second purchase of this model. The first one lasted many years and I think it still works well. I think I had problems with the digital voice recorder and not the adapter, but I ordered a new one just in case. The problem is that with my old digital voice recorder, the Olympus DS-30, I seem to remember that it wasโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Brings joy
Cons
  • Repair

This adapter is great for clean, noise-free recordings. This is because the circuit uses a small transformer to isolate the audio signal. Cheaper adapters (like $10 or less) don't use a transformer to reduce interference and noise. Such an adapter is especially necessary if you want to connect it between a phone and a headset amplifier. Despite this, in my opinion, this device has one major disadvantage. It uses a mono jack for audio output, which is a problem when you're recording to aโ€ฆ
