Description of Vee Gee Scientific BX 2 Refractometer

Handheld portable refractometer for Brix measurement of a wide range (28.0 to 62.0%) of sugar content in concentrated fruit juices, soft drink syrup, canned goods, and ketchup. Manual temperature compensation and calibrated with a liquid standard using a tool-free calibration ring. Ambient light illuminates the scale; no additional power source is required. Durable metal and rubber outer shell with a telescope-shaped, streamlined design (40 x 40 x 150mm), a rubber grip to guard against hand heat for accurate measurements, and a non-roll stand to protect against damage. Optical glass prism mounted in all-metal housing for quick temperature equilibrium between sample and prism.

Accurate and user-friendly

I was hesitant to invest in a refractometer for substance analysis, but I am so glad I did. Industrial and scientific applications require high accuracy, and this device delivers... Based on my experience, it is very user-friendly and makes measurements a breeze. The readings are easy to read and accurate. The only downside is that it is a bit pricier than other options on the market. Overall I highly recommend this product for anyone in need of reliable substance analysis instrumentation..

Vee Gee Scientific BX-2 Handheld Refractometer

I have been purchasing a Vee Gee Scientific BX-1 for measuring low solids liquids for over a year and recently I needed an instrument to measure higher solids liquids. Both refractometers are highly accurate, reproducible, portable and offer a cost effective alternative to much more expensive instruments.
