Hard plastic, non-slip rubber base is perfect! The Gen 2 center console is so cavernous it quickly becomes a mess, and it's so deep the top half isn't even usable unless you're stashing stuff in there, it helps keep small items floating and organized to hold, and takes advantage of the depth of the bay. The bottom half (actually 3/4) is left open for larger items. It really should have come with something like this from the factory, but this thing has a fit and finish that looks and feels OEM.

My last two Chevy trucks had center consoles, just big boxes with a top. Terrible design, similar to a kitchen trash can. This article is essential for anyone who wants to quickly find small items that are important enough for regular use. This organizer has been carefully designed and made from high quality materials. This is not the usual flimsy offshore junk that has become all too common, this is a custom made OEM quality tray. Just buy it at this price. You will not regret it.

I really struggled to find things in the deep dark bin in the console before I found this console organizer. It fits the 2018 Colorado perfectly and even has a data cable pass-through for my phone so I can now secure it when traveling but it still works. Additional space for coins, sunglasses, etc. is up to you. And all big things fit perfectly in the cavity under the organizer. It would be a great thing for GM to put this thing in a car - minimal cost and maximum convenience.

Great accessory! It fits my console perfectly and gives me storage space for small items like eyeglass cleaning cloths, pens, pocket knives and cigarette lighter chargers. It's a smart design as there is plenty of room to route the charging cable connected to the charging port inside the console. It's well made and damn cool! I read two other reviews that said they didn't fit well but pictures didn't upload. I uploaded my photos so others can see the problem. The compartment does not sit flush with the console, causing the lid to not close properly. When I press the tray so that it is flush, the tray returns to the position shown in the pictures.
