Tornado Grey Vellux Microfleece Full/Queen Blankets – Cozy and Luxurious! Review

This isn't the fluffy velor blanket you see in some hotels, we had one too, but this is a thinner and lighter version. Here in Maine, it's perfect as a top blanket when you want to keep your room warmer, or as a layer under a heavy duvet. After reading some not so positive reviews I decided to take a chance because it was the color I wanted and the price was right. It's awesome! Despite knowing the measurements, they were much larger than I expected, so they just about fit the bunk beds I ordered them for. The reviews also discussed what they are made of - love the texture! They are so cuddly and soft. Like all new bedding and clothing, I wash them before use and they wash/dry easily. I folded and rolled them like a pillow roll.

THIS IS A SUMMER BLANKET. NOT LIKE MY PAST PURCHASES OF VELLUX FLEECE. Last year I bought Vellux duvets similar to these but twice as thick and twice as warm. I want these, they are perfect. I use 1 of these previous blankets to sleep, 2 if it's 50 F in the house at night. It takes 2 to 3 blankets to do the same job as last year's 1 fleece blanket. I have been a regular customer of this brand throughout my adult life. I love products! My ONLY reason for giving two stars instead of five is that the product I received was very different in color from the picture. I was desperately hoping to match the shade of carpet I have and it just doesn't match how muted the shade is. As our much used original WestPoint Velux quilts with tags fell apart after too many washes I was delighted to see this Velux quilt from the same company here at Revain and ordered the full size in tornado grey.
