I didn't realize this when I bought it, but the entire valve rotates around the same axis as the threads on the container. This means you can tighten it and still have the valve pointing down! Drilling the large cap on the bottle was the hardest part. There is a small spot on the bottle where I can poke an air hole and it comes with a small cap to keep it closed. I found that they have devised a way for the air to return from the faucet to the bottle when the water comes out. Pouring a small hole in the bottle helps the water come out quicker, but for my purposes it's not much different. Now it's not the faucet's fault, but I have found that I have to be careful when screwing the cap
