For holding a drill vise when drilling holes in quarter inch steel. Works perfectly. You just have to consider the materials they are made of so as not to overdo it and damage them.

I was pleased with the easy installation. His holding ability is not his forte, nor is it his forte. It is enough to tighten it enough to hold a child bike seat to tear off the end and snap the bolt in half. I would not recommend this item.

We have three old bikes, about 15-20 years old, where the seat height adjustment is a simple bolt and nut system which I don't did it. enjoy very much. This product replaced them in less than 5 minutes. Now seat adjustment has never been so easy! It was worth it.

Bought these to use as drill vise quick releases. They work great but I'm deducting a star because everything is alloy as described except for the nut which is plastic so I'm not sure how long it will last in my case as I always use it remove and reinstall.

Bought a bike on sale for my 8 year old and the saddle adjustment screw was so rusted I had to drill and cut it. It was a simple replacement that fitted well and I don't have to worry about rusting. I can't comment on the strength of the synthetic threads, but that shouldn't be a huge issue as we won't be releasing them very often.

This seatpost quick release pin isn't as flimsy as on many bikes. It was designed for bikes that use the old bolt and nut configuration, which is an inconvenience. This quick release seat pin makes it easy to change seat height! For the seller, the UPS service was amazing, ground service in two states in one day! Thank you!

Added to U-lock for added security. If you ride your bike frequently, it's good to have a quick-release seatpost as it allows you to take the saddle and seatpost with you wherever you go while the bike is attached to an external bike stand. So you have two factors that prevent bike theft. There is no seat post and no saddle and no U-lock on the frame.

I was trying to find a quick release pin for our exercise bike to swap seats for me and my wife. She likes the big seat that came with the bike and I like the small seat that I later bought. The pin just isn't long enough or strong enough to clamp tight enough to securely fasten each seat so it doesn't wobble or move while the bike is in use. In addition, the nut on the pin is made of plastic, which severely limits its strength. Return to the drawing board.

I had a standard bolt/nut prior to purchasing this product. Wanted to adjust the seatpost on the trail but didn't have the right tools. I couldn't dress the mother properly. It ended up going all the way down. Uncomfortable, to say the least. Aside from the lack of tools, the decision was made to replace this style of quick release. Now no tools are required. Loosen with quick release, adjust pin and reset to tighten. Works great on aluminum frames. My mountain bike thanks M-Wave for this great
