Easy to install and FAST

Works great and is very easy to set up! I unplugged my old Verizon router and plugged in this one. The WiFi signal is MUCH stronger! Don't hesitate to get this if you're having persistent problems with your Verizon router. I was getting 10-20 MBS per second with the old router and now I am getting around 100 MBS.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Compatible

Worked Immediately

No settings, firmware, deleting settings from another vendor, calls to support, and other issues I've read about in reviews of other FIOS compatible modems. When the Verizon installer showed up, I gave him the modem and he used it with no complaints. I can't talk to the Wi-Fi signal strength as I have my own Wi-Fi router and only use it to convert the FIOS signal to an Ethernet connection for my router.

Pros
  • Finally Bought
Cons
  • Infinitely Slow

Works like a champ in computers and accessories

I replaced an old vintage vz router. I've needed this too since I upgraded my Verizon internet service from 50MB to 300MB. It connected to Verizon as soon as I plugged it in. I had no problem buying a refurbished unit for 1/3 the price of a new model. Electronics usually have a long service life. The only problem with setup was changing all WiFi passwords for 19 devices. It was a long and tedious process.

Pros
  • There's something to it

Works great with networking products

This is an updated product and so far works great. I replaced my old Actiontec FIOS router with this one. The WiFi signal is MUCH better compared to the Actiontec router - all my WiFi dead zones have been eliminated when switching to this router. IMHO, buying this router is a lot better than the $12-$15 monthly fee Verizon charges for renting a router. After 8 months you are profitable compared to renting a router. The only negative is that after purchasing this router I was stuck with FIOS for

The router was not working due to an on-site Verizon installer.

I was planning to install the new Verizon FIOS internet service, drove 2.5 hours to my new apartment same day to set up the internet. The installation required a Verizon technician to be present as the Verizon FIOS endpoints had to be installed in the apartment before I could connect the Verizon Quantum Gateway Revain Renewed router. He plugged in the Revain Renewed router and it powered on but never 'connected'. He waited 15 minutes. So I didn't connect. So he said it must be a bad router and…

  • Easy to read control panel
