Perfect fit, no polishing required. Five toe shoes are always so tricky. I have them in black and they took a good month to slide properly. Not sure if the punch is important or if there is a slightly different cut, but this color is perfect from day one. I have this pair primarily for indoor shoes and get the dog out quick but I think I'll end up wearing them more often and may need another clean pair. Really great from day one!

Based on reviews to increase the size I thought I needed a women's size 43 but this size was sold out. So I bought the women's 42 and the men's 43 for comparison. When I took it out of the box for the first time, I was pleasantly surprised by its lightness! Hemp fabric is amazingly soft. When I put these shoes on I had a bit of trouble getting my toes in and they were uncomfortable around my left pinky toe. Any discomfort passes within an hour or two.
