Digital Tire Gauge Victor Backlit 22-5-60104-8 - Multi, One Size Review

Despite good reviews, none of these sensors I ordered as a Christmas present worked. One didn't come on at all, the other light came on and didn't go out. Very disappointed. I returned both.

I was attracted to the name Viktor as Viktor makes top notch welding gauges and equipment, but I suspect this is a Chinese fake. It is made in China. It's only rated for 90psi, uses harder-to-find batteries, and leaks too much air when checking the pressure.

I regret spending money on this rubbish. It says it has removable batteries, but to get to the battery you have to undo a tiny screw, which requires a special screwdriver. Luckily I had one so as soon as I got it I decided to make sure the battery could be easily removed, but the tiny screw head came loose on my first attempt to loosen it. Now the battery compartment doesn't open at all, and that junk goes to landfill once the battery dies. makes angry.

Good backlight, accurate, repeatable readings, easy to use. Just like the first Victor I had which lasted 25 years before the non-replaceable battery finally gave out. This new one lets you change the battery, so that's a bonus. For the person who complains that it only weighs 99 pounds, this is a GOOD feature as it makes the mid-range readings more accurate that modern cars actually use. I've had trouble getting other gauges to properly match the tire and usually have an air leak or bad readings. This Victor gauge fits well and I get accurate readings every time. The backlit LED display is superb, especially in daylight, along with a comfortable grip. UPDATE JANUARY 22: I downgraded my rating from 5 stars to 1 because I've only used this sensor on my car about every two months, about 7-8 times in total. Then it stopped working. Buy something better.

My husband wanted a digital tire pressure gauge but didn't want to spend a lot of money. When I saw this on Revain, read the reviews and that people were happy with it, we went ahead and ordered it. When it arrived he was pleased with the ease of reading. He compared it to the accuracy of his old-fashioned non-digital device and they had exactly the same display, the only thing was the new one was a lot easier to read. We are happy with this purchase. All it does is read the print. It won't remember your license plate number and won't let you know if you dialed the right number. It is not easy to read when pressing on the valve stem. But it will give you a good, drama-free read very quickly and easily. No escaping hiss, no rocking to get a good seal, no repeating over and over because the readings don't make sense. I was looking for a spare digital tire pressure gauge to replace the main tire pressure gauge I got from a dealership because it was having trouble printing on the valves. This was the one I went for. It has a nice backlit display, a nice curve in the handle design, and seals well when you place it on the valve properly. However, I've found that if you fiddle with the thing on the tire valve, the silver nose cone sometimes unscrews and then you have to screw it back on, which is a bit annoying.
