Since this camera is the same as aiptek 3D camera and got great reviews after firmware update, I tried it on Viewonic. I recently received a ViewSonic 3D camera and am very happy with it so far. The 3D images are very good, especially for a camera that costs less than $100. The included software is very handy for watching videos or taking photos, but if the video is very long, it takes a long time to edit even on a decent computer. As others have suggested, it's "work in progress" (at best) and wasn't ready for sale. I bet ViewSonic and others (come on, FLIP 3D!) will improve this to a level where you can get acceptable results. Unfortunately we are "not quite there". I am re-writing my review after a few days of using this 3D camera. I don't have a 3D monitor or TV so I can only comment on how the resulting videos/photos appear on my 2D screens (comes with software and a stereoscopic player).
