This is by far the biggest junk I have ever had the misfortune to buy. If everything Visioneer does is like this, they deserve to be out of business. I don't know what the hell everyone else is complaining about. I've had this scanner for over two years now and the only issue I've had is that I now have to shake the cord to keep the power going. I bought it refurbished and it's good too because I overlooked the locking issue that a lot of people mentioned. The scanner worked decently initially when I used it on Windows 98, sometimes I had to struggle to get it to work properly, but it usually worked. This is a great scanner for the money. Unfortunately, the designers made a small mistake, which I corrected. It took care of the "scanner blocked" issue. now i love it The software is great, the ergonomics are great and it's FAST! The fix is very simple and requires no electronics knowledge. For about $100 I got a Visioneer One Touch 8900 USB flatbed scanner that works on my old computer many years and satisfied with his work.
