I really like this scanner

I really like this scanner. I used an older version and like the portability and ease of use of these scanners. The Paperport software is very nice and simple. My only complaint is that it doesn't automatically adjust the paper size for small documents like receipts. You have to do it manually. A bit painful but other than that it's great and the price is fantastic.

Great Organizer - Scanner

Many years ago I used the Visioneer PaperPort at work. I liked it very much. Now I wanted to digitize and organize my documents. This is the perfect tool. It can OCR but I don't need it. All I need are copies of documents and a record of purchases (scanned for receipts). The software is superior to other document organizers. Just a warning. I wanted to upgrade my Windows 8 PC to 8.1 but the software is not compatible with Win8.1. However, an update is available.

Works only with Windows

This scanner is small and light. That could be great, but since I have a Mac I wouldn't know. Of course, it would be nice if the description said it only works with Windows. I was fooled by the information about the possibility of storing in the "cloud" to access from my Mac. After reading several reviews of other scanners, I see that some of them are specific to Mac computers and some are specific to Windows. Lesson Learned: Use the actual product website to check available platforms.
