Vitamix 15856 Container 64 Oz Review

It's great to have a different container that's just for preparing cat food. The only difference between this container and the original that came with my Vitamix is that it doesn't have a grip pad. It's amazing how this handle makes pouring and dispensing more convenient. I wish it had a pad but I'm glad it does.

I've had my last 48 ounce container of Vitamix for about 10 years. I forgot how well this thing worked when it was new! Heck, 2.5 cups of frozen strawberries and 1.5 cups of milk were ready in 7 seconds. Completely shredded! Seedless and thick! I also got a flask with it. A pleasant surprise! For those trying to find out if their Vitamix is suitable. Vitamix states that they are all interchangeable. The only exception is pre 1995. I have a Creations GC and it fits perfectly.

I have ordered a replacement bin. Everything is fine except I received the container with a cheap thin clear plastic handle which is not what the picture shows - a hard black durable handle. Exactly the same as on the container I had. I called the company; You said that the containers you show in the photo are in stock. Vitamix referred me back to Revain. I need this item ASAP as I use it daily for my 95 year old mother. Many Thanks.

Excellent - fits my 5200 and seems to work even better than the original I have had for 4 years and replaced just because my office cleaners are ours, threw away my original (wtf?!). The original Vitamix container lasted nearly 25 years, but the sealed bearing at the bottom of the container could not be properly lubricated and the bearing assembly could not be disassembled. The shallow container that comes with the 5300 fits most of my uses, but I'm having trouble with fewer ingredients. I bought this container to use in recipes like nut butters and protein bars. A smaller base seems to work better with protein bar recipes. We bought the Vitamix 5000 over 20 years ago because blenders gave up the ghost after a year. Post-workout drinks were optional for us and we needed a reliable machine to make them 2-3 times a week. Our Vitamix works well but takes longer to age than I care to admit. In fact, the bin looked so awful no matter what I did to clean it - even the kids wanted to throw it out!
