Uses this to elevate the monitor very high on a regular height mount (above an open laptop).

I used this to raise the monitor very high on a regular mount (over an open laptop). It worked great. It was a dual monitor mount with both arms at the same height. Not only did this allow me to elevate one monitor above my laptop, it also allowed me to keep the other monitor low.

Very flexible and useful

This mount exceeded my expectations. It comes with useful hardware and can be installed in a number of useful configurations. I have a laptop compartment that hangs from the end of it and it won't bend or flex. If you're unhappy with how low your monitor arm can lower your laptop compartment, this extender is a great solution.

Great way to raise (or lower) the monitor without moving the overall mount

I needed to install a smaller monitor (24") next to a much larger curved monitor and ordered a dual arm and the smaller monitor was easy too low. I started designing the mount and looked at ordering raw materials and then drilling, tapping and painting and it turned out to be a much more affordable and easy solution. Bracket and monitor Simplicity and affordability are my two favorite words!

Suitable for non-NUC installations!

This worked very well for my purpose. HOWEVER I have not used it for/with an Intel NUC box. Rather, I used it as an extension from my monitor mount to the Apple TV Velcro. So for me it was perfect. This provided a very flat surface for using the Apple TV Velcro. This allowed me to use a 1ft HDMI cable to connect to my monitor (it has multiple HDMI ports). However, if you're buying it specifically to install an Intel NUC, read other reviews. If you just need an extension from your monitor mountโ€ฆ

Bought for use "not for its intended purpose ". Works great!

I have bought some great monitor pole mounts from another manufacturer and I love them. Mainly because the base is absolutely military level. The problem is that the sticks are too short. One of them is designed to mount monitors from 2 to 32 inches, so I ordered a long stand (48 inches) from another manufacturer, and even if I have to run a welding machine, I will do it for 32. However, I don't need a long rod. The top monitor only needed to be raised another 5 or 6 inches so I didn't have toโ€ฆ
