Customer Satisfaction

I have not used my 40 amp relay so have not left a review. Aside from that, these people contacted me to make sure I was happy. That says a lot, especially these days. Great products, highly recommend. Thanks for checking out guys. rick

Rated for 40 amps but only 16 gauge wire?

I bought this but never used it. Use 10 gauge wire, but the 12v power line is here to connect the 10 gauge wire, at best just 16 gauge (this is for the base component fully wired). straight into another relay, threw this setup in the parts box -

Pros
  • Ideal for horns, compressors, alarms, headlights, fog lights, trunk opening and many other applications
Cons
  • Expensive

The relay blew within seconds. ATTENTION!

I installed this relay as part of an onboard air compressor. When I flipped the control switch, the relay actuated and latched as intended. I wanted to turn off the control switch and that's when the problem occurred. At this point the relay is closed! My compressor ran constantly on 12V from the battery. The pressure switch couldn't do anything and I couldn't turn it off. Luckily (as expected) I was ready to pull the fuse out of the compressor to keep it from blowing. I had my doubts after it…

Pros
  • Working with high current applications
Cons
  • No instructions
