Compact 12V Vixen Horns Electric Motor Driven Horn/Alarm/Siren (Air Raid) - Vibrant Red VXS-9050C Review

Everything is fine. Not as loud as I expected, but decent. I had to dislodge the guard and flex it a bit as the fan was rubbing and it was a little annoying, but the red paint is stiff to the touch and won't rust like chrome.

Installed a Vixen siren under the hood and used it as a cattle siren. Installation was very easy. The siren wasn't as loud as expected. But for the money it's good enough. After six activations the siren stopped working, the motor still turns but has come loose from the wings. I haven't disassembled it yet to see if the repair would be easy.

Installed this product in my car as an audible warning system. I put it on a timer so when turned on it would rise and fall like a siren. It's very loud, although sometimes the pitch is so high that people aren't sure what they're hearing. This is smaller than you would expect from the size of a softball.

Air Raid Siren is OK. My friend brought a hand crank. I've always wanted one. The electric horn works great. I connected it to the car battery with a switch. Everyone knows when I'm coming. Excellent price. David

Slightly higher than I expected and not as loud. I have 115dB horns that are a bit louder. It reminds me of a police car siren from the 1950s. I was hoping for an air raid siren. It was easy to connect with a nice metal body and plastic internals. It looks like it will take a while when removed from the elements.
