Industrial and scientific methods have been used to create a water line which ensures the longevity of your butter .Through trial and error I found that the lid snaps on securely without any leaks. The only con is the lack of color options, but the beautiful white color still matches any kitchen decor..

This butter container was advertised as having a classical design, but it looks cheap and flimsy. The water line feature was useless as the butter still ended up stale and hard after a day or two.The only positive aspect was that it can hold a fair amount of butter. My husband has been obsessed with this style of butter dish ever since he saw a video of someone using one and storing the oil in water to keep it soft and spreadable. This is such a nice little jar of oil. You store the oil in the white part and pour the waterline into the blue container where the waterline is written.
