I have used this beard trimmer for my needs with great success. I find the blades sharp enough to trim my beard well. I like to have a nice and neat short beard and it helps a lot to maintain the length. The blades are sharp enough and do a good job in a pass or two to keep the beard neatly trimmed. The word "trimmer" isn't quite right here because I don't think it's suitable for maintaining unshaven areas with small touch-ups.
