VTech Baby Glowing Lullabies Elephant, Blue: Soothing and Musical Companion for Your Little One Review

VTECH makes this bear perfect with the lullaby playing time and the little light. This is my second purchase. My daughter had one too and has loved one for a long time. The music is soothing, not overwhelming, with good volume control and great timing. I also like that it's washable which is a big plus.

I find these things a bit creepy but my kid LOVES this thing. The songs play for a very long time, maybe 10-15 minutes, but they make a good bedtime timer, so if they stop it means it's time for bed. The battery life is pretty good considering how often they are used and I probably had to replace them after 4 or 5 months. It also withstands a lot of abuse.

This was a gift for a newborn. I've only seen pictures, but parents report that the baby likes noises and music, which are good for distracting him when he's being naughty. The volume does not annoy adults like some sound toys, so parents are happy too. Longevity has yet to be determined, although the bear appears to be hardy. In the end, the child likes it, and that's the main thing.

I bought this because of the glowing tummy and lullaby function. But even after putting new batteries in, it didn't work as it should. It seems that he stuttered when switched on and the belly does not light up. But other than that it's pretty and made of good material. If only bought as a stuffed elephant, that would be perfect.

Unfortunately I bought this for my autistic son to replace the bearish version he had for 4 years. After a few days it turned out that he had a short on wires or a problem with the board with it. You have to press the button 6-8 times for it to play and sometimes it makes horrible scratching noise while playing. Not the best sound for an autistic child who is sensitive to noise. It's a shame, because we've had such good experiences with the bear version.

This was the perfect gift for my grandson. He just loves it and I love that it stays on continuously for 15 minutes. It really helps put him to sleep. My grandson is only 10 months old but he can turn it on himself and change colors and songs. He has a glowing seahorse and the music/lights are only on for about 5 seconds and he can't work with it alone. Our little man loves this elephant. He started screaming and crying as they put him to bed. I almost bought him a globe, but then I saw this beauty. Needless to say, I would buy a hundred of these Gloworms any day! They are a lot cheaper with a better speaker. No hard spots, unlike the entire face/head of fireflies. I ordered this item as a Christmas present for my granddaughter. When I took it out of the box, the first thing I saw was a tear in the box and it looked like something had crushed it. While the elephant is at work and a small child is unlikely to notice the condition of the box, I expect the gifts to be beautifully wrapped.
