I really like this monitor. I used to have a used audio only monitor that had power supply connection issues that caused a lot of white noise and popping, but it served its purpose well for over a year. The Vtech VM312-2 monitor's sound is crystal clear as long as you stay within range, so listening is like a breath of fresh air compared to my old one. The VM312-2 has a few issues that make it less than fully useful to me. First, while the baby unit (camera) comes with a hanging bracket built into the back so it can be hung on a wall, the camera unit part is too heavy to stay in place and will fall off. The only way to fix this is to mount hardware on the wall to constrain the camera. Works great! I was afraid of negative reviews but so far I like them. I literally used the first baby monitor ever, it came in a giant miniature box with a TV as the receiver so I have nothing to compare it to. This is an upgrade for me! Ha ha.
