Die-cast construction with easy re-lamping from the front without the use of tools. For use with 120V track. Track Fixture is available in H, j/j2, and L track configurations. Order according to track layout specifications. Smooth and continuous dimming to 10% with a triac dimmer (halogen only) or electronic low Voltage dimmer (LED or halogen). Uses 100W max PAR30 and BR30 halogen lamps (sold separately) or LED PAR30 (14W), and LED BR30 (14.6W) lamps (sold separately). Fully enclosed back to prevent light leaks. Includes phenolic baffle to reduce glare. Standards: UL & CUL listed for dry locations. Metal Construction - 350Degree horizontal rotation and 90Degree vertical aiming. Front loading for convenient re-lamping. Phenolic baffle included to reduce glare. Fully enclosed backing prevents light leaks. Lamp: A/PAR30/BR30, 100W max (ordereded separately).

Broken during installation

One of the metal tabs broke during installation. For example, set $25 on fire. Not impressed at all and would not recommend. This was an L-Track model for use with the Lightolier track.

Works well with L tracks.

I ordered the L-rail version and it mounts and connects perfectly. I agree with the other reviewer that the bulb will not be in the center of the fixture. However, there aren't many L-Track head options that will fit a PAR30 or similar sized light. I ended up ordering a few more and putting in some A19 LED bulbs and everything works fine.

If used with the new H-rail, install layout first

These are well made, attractive blocks. I bought these to replace my old track lights in the kitchen. However, older units have a higher rotational strain. I didn't discover this until I had my new H-rail fully installed. This can be fixed by rotating the new H-rail 180 degrees. My suggestion, especially if you are cutting a custom length track and/or powering one end or the other, attach one of these lights to the track and make sure you have the head rotation you need to *for * H- perfect toโ€ฆ

This light is ideal for an L shaped hoop (contrary to another review - there is no single standard for track lighting). 2-contour tracks Lightolier (Lytespan). Both pins are fixed in place (and the 2 loop rail requires one of them to be moveable to connect to the upper circuit). Light (there are some "suckers" in the cartridge) and the light itself is definitely not high end. Philips Hue BR30 bulbs, and there aren't many options for bulbs this size that aren't prohibitively expensive.
