Disposable Springs: Appliances

I bought these to protect areas of my RV from pests and they work great for that purpose. The only recommendation is to discard the included springs for installation and use thin wire instead (e.g. wire used for picture hanging). This way the installation is much easier and you can be sure that when you move the springs will not slip off and the grids will not be lost.

Pros
  • Decent Performance
Cons
  • Expensive Insurance

Missing Parts - Household Appliances

The item was fine but was missing the small springs to fit properly. They gave us zip ties for some parts. As for the hot water screen, we were concerned that the amount of heat generated would melt it. My husband used copper wire to attach it. Not the prettiest, but more heat resistant. When we were contacted the seller immediately offered to refund us $2 instead of sending us additional screens. I think this is a general problem.

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Very Expensive

Pleasantly surprised

Didn't expect this to arrive on time. They were also shown seated in China when they arrived at my residence in the US. All parts are there. High quality screens. The springs are very difficult to snap into place and also do not protect large ventilation slots. I've only used them for small heater vents. For other screens, I used small white zip ties on the water heater and refrigerator vents. Ties are much easier to put on and hold more securely. The zippers are melting on the heaters.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Requires outlet

Look first and don't stop there

Installation was easy except there was nothing to hold the fridge screens in place. It's ok, I can use my own zip ties, but for $37 I expect zip ties to be included. I'm not giving 2 stars because it's bad, the screens do their job, but I was very annoyed by the lack of a fridge deflector attachment in the kit. I'm expecting the small square vent to fall off because the included mounting springs don't fit the vent (my fault for not checking ahead of time). Take a look before you buy this set.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly creased

Does what it's supposed to do

Bought these for our new Minnie Plus. Unfortunately they forgot to attach the springs so I had to secure them with stainless steel safety wire. Refrigerator vents come with plastic ties to attach them to the vent. I see these zip ties drying, snapping and sending my air vents into the wild after about 6 months so I secured them with safety wire as well. The kiln lid was large enough to only cover the inlet, not the entire outlet of the kiln. It should be about 2 inches taller and I still don't…

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • Almost ok

Time and patience for installation but no trick

At first I thought it was just an upsell gimmick from a motor home dealer. I later discovered that the wasps were trying to nest in the oven openings. After doing a little research, I discovered how serious the problem can be if left unresolved. Bought and now there are no more insects in my ventilation systems. The installation takes a long time to get everything right. The springs are awkward to use and I ended up making a better hooked end to hold them in place. Fridge fans are fine. I tied…

Pros
  • Special offer
Cons
  • Hard to tell
