Inexpensive brakes, only 1 wear indicator clip, squeaks when not actuated

Cheap brake pads. Just a wear indicator, not the biggest problem as the brakes on both sides have to wear out more or less at the same time. The big problem is the squeaking of the brakes when I take my foot off the brake. My rotors are brand new and they are installed on it. The large flakes of metal in this cheap brake material squeak louder. I think there's a reason genuine Subaru pads cost twice as much as this set.

Take your time, clean and lube and they work great

I fitted these to the rear brakes on my 2010 Subaru Outback. I took the time to clean 11 year old calipers with a wire brush and brake cleaner. I took the glide pins out of the rubber boots, cleaned the pins and rubber, and used Sil-Glyde to lubricate. After cleaning the caliper brackets and piston head, I lubricated the caliper bracket, the new caliper bracket parts, the piston head, the back of the new pads and their tabs with Permatex, Silicone Ceramic Extreme Orange. Squeak, squeak, squeak!

I bought them in January 2017. During installation I noticed that the clamps didn't fit together very well and it took some convincing to get them to fit well enough to insert the pads. Immediately after installation, I noticed that the brakes were getting hot, that is, after stopping at the bottom of a long hill near my house, the brakes squeaked against the rotors for several kilometers until they cooled. Squeaking, uneven wear, poor seating

The brakes themselves are quiet and do the job. I originally installed them on my car (2016 wrx) after installing them on my wife's car (2016 Terrain). My wife had no problems but I had a lot of them. First, the creaking came from my rear driver's side, which sounded like metal on a rotor running at my tire's speed.
